John Lee Hooker? NO SIR

So this damn Tea Bazaar venue. It’s located right at the end of the Downtown Walking Mall in C-ville, home of hackey sackin’, flaming throwin whatevers. The venue itself is small and cramped, serving up some wonderful brewnanskies and decent bowls of soup. But whoever is doing the booking has got a good head on her/his shoulders. Warmer Milks, Woods, Circle, etc. have bashed out some serious good times over the past year. Caught wind of this kind of last minute, and my job kept me up there until the shows start.

Endless Boogie has been written about in rather lofty terms. I nabbed their first lp (black lp?) and was floored from beginning to end. Allman Brothers/Starz/whatever comparisons do these bros ZERO justice. They lock heavy on the grooves and never ever let up. Live was just another beast all together. Two songs, twenty minutes a piece. The mixture of proseco and Lucifer brew hit perfectly as soon as they got down. Mark these guys as the fuckin’ chill out band of the fall season. The lead guitar lead the troops into action, backed by the riflemen rhythm section. It was enthralling and engaging all in one spin. Won’t tour again until the apocalypse. Wait for the new LP to hit on No Quarter real soon.
